BIG MUNICIPAL ELECTION WINS FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN PRESERVING AND ENHANCING MUSKOKA FOR ALL GENERATIONS!

Municipal election results are in! Congratulations to all the successful candidates and thank you to all who stepped forward to serve our community. The work that Councils do is essential to preserving and enhancing the unique environment that is Muskoka and we're grateful for those who were willing to take on the task. The MLA looks forward to working with all new and returning Mayors and Councillors. There is much to be done to continue to protect this place we love and advance our causes of responsible development, natural shorelines and fair taxation.

We're thrilled to say MLA-endorsed candidates performed extremely strongly in all of our township races -TML, Seguin, Gravenhurst and Bracebridge. Muskoka is the big winner, because of people like you who believe in the importance of preserving and enhancing what's special about Muskoka for all generations.

We extend a heartfelt thanks and our deep gratitude to the many MLA volunteers and donors who helped out in our months-long effort to get out the vote and to inform voters of their choices - from making phone calls, to dropping our flyers on hundreds of docks, to attending meetings and organizing our events. Without your efforts, this critical election would not have had such successful results. This critical work depended on your generosity and sense of civic duty, and MLA members delivered strongly when it counted!

We look forward to rolling up our sleeves and continuing to represent your concerns as the new councils begin their work in November. Please encourage anyone you know who shares our values to become a member so we can keep advancing your concerns. Every member counts!
