James Paul Richards, B.A.Sc., M.B.A., is the Owner and President of Landrich Investments Inc., a property management company based in Cobourg and Toronto. Over his accomplished career, Paul has held senior executive and leadership roles in several successful Canadian businesses and began his professional journey as a Trade Commissioner with the Government of Canada in Rio de Janeiro.

Paul’s connection to Muskoka runs deep. A member of the Muskoka Lakes Association since 1958, he has served as President, Regatta Committee Co-Chair, and an active volunteer in countless MLA events and initiatives. His decades of service reflect his enduring commitment to the Muskoka community and its traditions.

In 2017, Paul co-founded Friends of Muskoka (F.O.M.), a community organization dedicated to protecting Muskoka’s environment, water quality, and unique character. With F.O.M. and the MLA now acting together, Paul continues to support its mission of environmental stewardship and advocacy for responsible development across the region.

Paul’s leadership and passion for conservation have left a lasting mark on the region, exemplifying his belief that protecting Muskoka’s lakes and landscapes is vital to preserving its future.
