The Muskoka Lakes Association (MLA) and the District of Muskoka (Muskoka) are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement on extended operation hours for the small lock at Port Carling for the summer of 2010.

There currently is an issue surrounding the change in hours of operation of the Port Carling Locks. In the past, the locks have been open 24 hours a day with the small locks. However this past winter, the district has cut the hours of the lock operations.

The MLA is investigating this and currently waiting for answers from the district.
